Kris Hermanns

Kris Hermanns joins Seattle Foundation as Chief Impact Officer after seven years as Chief Executive Officer of Pride Foundation. In this new role, she will be responsible for the Foundation’s core grantmaking, community programs and civic leadership. This work includes the Foundation’s Climate Justice Impact Strategy, Catalyzing Community Impact Strategy, Resilience Fund and the Communities of Opportunity partnership with King County.

During her time leading Pride Foundation, she shaped the LGBTQ community’s action on key local and national policy issues. She also spearheaded a statewide initiative with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to address systemic causes of youth homelessness, and developed a comprehensive initiative to center racial equity throughout all aspects of Pride Foundation’s operations and programming. Prior to Pride Foundation, she was Deputy Director at the National Center for Lesbian Rights and Director of Special Funds and Program Officer with the Rhode Island Community Foundation.
