Ethan Norris

Community Health Plan of Washington (CHPW), Washington’s only not-for-profit health plan offering managed care to Apple Health and Medicare members, announced Ethan Norris has joined the company as the Senior Vice President of Business and Product Development.

In his new role, Norris will align organizational and departmental strategies across Medicare, enrollment, sales and marketing, and new business development. He will also take the lead in developing strategic partnerships to best position CHPW for the future.

Norris brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience, working with health plans, providers, clinical leaders, state agencies and policymakers. Through his experience, Norris has developed a deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and a unique ability to pioneer successful strategies within this market.

“Ethan will be a tremendous asset to our organization as we continue to innovate in our delivery of whole person care throughout Washington,” said Leanne Berge, CEO of Community Health Plan of Washington. “Ethan’s experience gives him an invaluable understanding of our members’ needs and the perspectives of our community partners. We are thrilled to have him on board as CHPW leads the statewide charge toward integrated care.”

Before joining CHPW, Norris worked with many safety-net providers, including recent work with the Harborview Medical Center Board of Trustees where he facilitated the development of their new strategic plan. Prior to that, he also served as the interim CFO of Oklahoma State University Medical Center, where he established new, charitably-funded programs in partnership with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and multiple community stakeholders to serve the uninsured in the community. Additionally, Norris is a member of the Washington Health Alliance and serves as the Board Chair for Wellspring Family Services, whose mission is to end the cycle of family homelessness.
