PEMCO Mutual Insurance recently announced that Dan Shaw has transitioned within its product team to auto product manager. Shaw will be responsible for the auto profit and loss results, as well as long-term and short-term strategy for PEMCO’s biggest line of business.
Shaw has been with PEMCO since September 2018 and most recently served as manager of product analytics. In this position, he focused on analytical efforts and helped develop and implement Washington’s by-peril rating program.
“Dan is an invaluable member of our product team at PEMCO, and we are excited for him to take on a new leadership role within our company,” said Dawn Lee, vice president of product and underwriting at PEMCO. “His strategic leadership skills and innovative approach to problem solving has made a positive impact on our policyholders and organization as a whole.”
Prior to joining PEMCO, Shaw led the analytical efforts for competitive intelligence, forecasting and product performance monitoring for auto and home insurance in several states as a product analyst for CSAA Insurance Group. He has over five years of experience in personal lines product pricing.
Shaw attended Temple University in Philadelphia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science. He loves exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife and their two golden retrievers, Burrito and Mango.
