Alison Esquea

Cambia Health Solutions is pleased to announce that the Public Affairs and Policy team has hired Alison Esquea as Vice President of Federal Affairs, based in Washington, D.C. Esquea will lead legislative and political advocacy to advocate for solutions that improve health care for people and their families.

“Alison has a track record of building strong relationships and leading successful teams on Capitol Hill and in the industry,” said Jennifer Danielson, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs and Policy. “At this important moment in American health care policy, we are thrilled to have Alison leading our advocacy in Washington to further our mission to empower the health care consumer.”

Esquea joins Cambia with 20 years of legislative, lobbying, corporate, and public policy experience in the Washington, D.C. market. She most recently served as Health Policy Director at Sandoz US, a Novartis division, leading legislative and public policy strategies on generic prescription drugs. Esquea developed the company’s federal strategy for digital health products, including a prescription digital therapeutic and a mobile medical application.

Previously, Alison served as Deputy Legislative Director for Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and led health care policy for the senator during the passage of the Affordable Care Act. Alison graduated from Shippensburg University (Penn.) and earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.

In her new role, Esquea will lead legislative and political advocacy in Washington to advance Cambia’s profile on the national stage and advocate for solutions that empower our consumers. She will be recruiting for a Director of Federal Affairs who will lead our federal regulatory strategy. Esquea’s work will further Cambia’s efforts to promote transparency, meet on-demand lifestyles with convenient and personalized care, and bring cost-effective pharmacy solutions that hold their value.
