The Riveter, a Seattle-based membership network that offers co-working spaces, is expanding to five new cities less than two months after closing a $15 million series A funding round.

The company plans to open new locations in Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis, Atlanta and Portland, Oregon. It already operates a location in Dallas and opened in Austin, Texas, last week. The company already operates five locations in Seattle and Los Angeles.

The company, which has more than 2,000 members, said it is targeting cities with a growing technology sector and strong entrepreneurial activity.

“The Series A investment that we received allows us to take The Riveter to communities where we’ve seen a huge demand from female entrepreneurs starting companies large and small, said founder and CEO Amy Nelson.

Membership is open to anyone, but the company was founded on the premise of helping women entrepreneurs grow their companies. It holds events across the country with top business leaders and gives members discounts on child care and health and wellness services. It also has national partnerships with Microsoft for Startups and Alaska Air Group.

Each of these (new) cities has a vibrant startup scene, incredible female leadership throughout the city, and a thriving business landscape that is pushing our countrys economy forward, Nelson said.
