Richard O’Neill

The law firm of Neville Peterson LLP is proud to announce that Richard F. O’Neill, formerly an associate attorney at the firm, has been promoted to Partner. He is resident in the firm’s Seattle, Washington office.

 Richard’s practice focuses on all aspects of international trade and Customs law, including tariff classification, appraisement, country of origin and trade preference programs, Section 301 and Section 232 tariffs, Free Trade Agreements, export controls and trade remedies. He has extensive experience in antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings before the Department of Commerce and the United States International Trade Commission.  His practice also includes international trade-related aspects of intellectual property, as well as regulation of cannabis products and related equipment.

A native of Seattle, he started his practice with Neville Peterson’s New York City office and established the firm’s Seattle office in 2017. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Martin’s University and a Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law.

 He lives in Edmonds, Washington with his wife Whitney and their two children.
