With National Voter Registration Day Sept. 22., Molly Moons and the NAACP are offering voter registration training over Zoom at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18. Participants will learn voter history, facts about voting in Washington, and how to help others register to vote.

To encourage voter turnout, the NAACP has introduced The Power of 5 challenge, where people are encouraged to pledge to register five people to vote each week and text five ballot reminders to five different voters a week. The organization also encourages people to volunteer for five days between now and the general election for a Get Out The Vote campaign.

It’s so important to mobilize as many people as we can. We saw so many passionate people fighting for Black lives at the protests, let’s make sure those thousands of people of ready to #protestatthepolls, Molly Moons said in a post on its website.

Molly Moon’s recently opened its ninth location in the region in Bellevue.
