Moss Adams Inks Deal to Acquire Dallas-Area Consulting Practice

The transaction will expand the Seattle-based accounting firms reach in the health care market

Seattle-based Moss Adams has acquired Southwest Consulting Associates (SCA), a leader in providing financial consulting services to health care providers.

The deal adds 27 professionals to Moss Adams’ health care cost-reimbursement practice, expanding it to a team of 35. The acquisition, effective Jan. 1 of next year, greatly expands Moss Adam’s reach and offerings to hospitals and health systems nationwide.

“The complex and rapidly evolving nature of the health care industry creates a significant need for innovative and reliable enterprise solutions,” says Chris Pritchard, national practice leader for Moss Adams’ health care consulting practice. “This combination allows Moss Adams to provide a full suite of industry-leading, enterprise-wide reimbursement services and creates one of the largest reimbursement practices in the Western United States.”

Moss Adams is one of the largest accounting, consulting and wealth management firms in the country, with some 3,200 professionals and more than 25 offices. SCA, is headquartered in the Dallas suburb of Plano, Texas, and has been providing financial consulting services to health care providers for three decades. It currently serves some 400 clients across the country.
