UW Medicine CEO Paul Ramsey reports in his regular online news message that the large health care system is preparing to become an Accountable Care Organization.

Dr. Ramsey writes:

With the assistance of the Chartis Group and under Johnese Spisso’s excellent leadership, a large team is preparing UW Medicine as an Accountable Care Organization, with reimbursement tied to quality, safety, efficiency and effectiveness. As the largest health system in our service area, UW Medicine should continue to model and lead the changes that improve health for our community.
