Galleries throughout the Seattle area are awash in pottery and ceramic sculpture this month to celebrate the annual conference of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts. The principal exhibition is the NCECA Invitational, PUSH PLAY, hosted by the Bellevue Arts Museum and featuring the work of Sam Scott (above) and 32 other artists culled from more than 200 who responded to a call for entries to address the concept of playfrom the appreciation of games to the teaching of essential skills.
